Virtual Urgent Care Chat is the feature that we created to help patients by minimizing confusion during the waiting period before the provider joins, and enables clinical assistants to collate patient healthcare information before the virtual call begins.

Final goal

In order to ensure a seamless virtual care visit for patients, we aim to reconcile the patient information (medications, allergies, and medical history) that obtained from Amwell with DOMO prior to the virtual call. This allows us to have accurate and up-to-date information readily available during the virtual care session.

Design

[Snackbar]

Patients in the waiting room will be notified with an action snackbar when a clinical assistant initiates a chat with them.

[Start & end mode]

When entering the chat room, the patient will see the clinical assistant's name and their message. After the chat ends, a text will indicate that the supporter has left, the chat is over and the text field will be disabled.
